  • What is the difference between counselling and therapy?
Counselling and therapy are terms often used interchangeably. Counselling typically focuses on shorter term support for specific issues like stress or relationships, while therapy delves deeper into emotional and psychological concerns such as depression or trauma over a longer period.
  • Do I need counselling?

You might benefit from counselling if you're experiencing any of the following: Persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or hopelessness Difficulty managing stress or daily responsibilities Problems in relationships or communication Traumatic experiences that you haven't fully processed Significant life changes, such as loss, divorce, or career transitions Struggling with self esteem or self worth Feeling stuck or unable to achieve personal goals Counselling can provide support, tools, and strategies to help you navigate these challenges. If you're unsure, consider having an initial FREE consultation to discuss your concerns and determine if counselling might be right for you.

Your counsellor will explain these exceptions to you at the beginning of your counselling relationship.
